I served as in-house counsel for a real estate investment firm that acquired 14 hospitality properties, with
responsibility for acquisition due diligence, contract negotiation, closing, and subsequent negotiation of
contracts to sell the properties.  In addition, I was responsible for structure and negotiation of franchise and
management agreements for all properties- often involving a conversion of one or both of those following
acquisition.  I worked closely with property managers on day-to-day operating issues including employment
matters and operating agreements with third parties.  My experience gives me a unique perspective on the
issues faced by owners and developers of these properties.
