I served as in-house counsel for a real estate investment firm that acquired 14 hospitality properties, with responsibility for acquisition due diligence, contract negotiation, closing, and subsequent negotiation of contracts to sell the properties. In addition, I was responsible for structure and negotiation of franchise and management agreements for all properties- often involving a conversion of one or both of those following acquisition. I worked closely with property managers on day-to-day operating issues including employment matters and operating agreements with third parties. My experience gives me a unique perspective on the issues faced by owners and developers of these properties.

$200 million refinancing of seven hotels in multiple states.
Responsible for all legal matters relating to change of franchise and/or management for multiple hotel properties.
